Nin Saltworks

A tradition since Roman times – Hand-harvested on the Adriatic

Solana Nin is one of the oldest saltworks on the eastern Adriatic coast. In a shallow, ecologically pristine lagoon, surrounded by five Croatian national parks, the salt is not produced by machines, but in harmony with nature.

The secret to its quality lies in three ingredients: the clean Adriatic Sea, the radiant sun, and the strong winds from the Velebit mountains. Unlike industrial salt, Nin salt is hand-harvested and unrefined. This preserves all valuable minerals and the natural iodine from the sea algae. Solana Nin is a biodynamic ecosystem that combines tradition and organic quality – for a taste that even Roman emperors appreciated.
